1  General Discussion / Miscellaneous / Re: New Years Resolutions on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 23:09:57
I'm making this up as I go.

1. Have sex.
2. Join a good ska band.
3. See Symphony X.
4. Not embarass myself.

The Law of Syllogism always prevails.
3  General Discussion / Roller Coasters / What are your top roller coasters? on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 22:04:57
Top coaster, top three, top five, top ten, top 69, top OVER NINE THOUSAND - I really don't care. Just tell us what your favorite roller coasters are. Make it more than just a list; provide reasons.

Millennium Force - I've ridden from the front, middle, and back. I've ridden at day and in the evening. I've ridden in the sun and in the rain. The ride does not fail to completely shock me. A 300-foot drop at 80 degrees with a top speed of 93 miles per hour? A good use of both floater and ejector airtime? The element of surprise? It's all there. This is my favorite roller coaster, and I do not see another coaster surpassing it anytime soon.

Montu - Montu is a B&M invert at Busch Gardens Tampa. It is, by far, the best inverted coaster I've ever been on it. It has the height, the speed, and the inversions. There are some elements that will make you shout.

Incredible Hulk - Jesus Christ, I remember my first ride on the Hulk. I was 11 and nearly blacked out on the cobra roll. Hulk's launch is forceful and intense. Right out of the launch, you go into a barrel roll, a long drop, a cobra roll, a massive vertical loop, and a somewhat underwater tunnel. All over the water. The second half is somewhat boring, but the Hulk is still a great ride.

Comet - The Comet is a classic wooden coaster at Great Escape in Lake George, New York. It is rough, but a fun rough. You get lots of speed and ejector airtime, as well as a healthy dose of lateral G-forces. This is the best woodie I've ever been on.

I always preferred Giovanni. Whenever I play a Pokemon Red ROM, I always get frustrated that I can't join Team Rocket.
5  General Discussion / Miscellaneous / Who is your idol? on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:54:33
Self-explanatory (and a reference to the rules, lulz). Who is your idol in life?

Mine would be Paris Hilton. Pourquoi? She inspires me not to suck at life. I mean, look at her. She's hideously ugly as a result of excessive plastic surgery, she's idiotic, her vocal range is about half an octave, and she's a basket case.
6  Blue Thrills / General / Re: Introduce yourself. on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:40:40
Your request is granted. You shall move forward in the caste system of Blue Thrills very soon.

Provided I can find three more people who wish to sign up.
7  Amusement Parks / Florida / Dania Beach Hurricane on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:39:56
I feel that this is one of the most underrated and unknown roller coasters in the country. The Dania Beach Hurricane is a wooden coaster in Dania, Florida. It's situated at an arcade called Boomers (which just happens to be the largest arcade in the state, I believe). It has a great 100 foot drop that produces some incredible airtime; in fact, the entire ride provides insane ejector air from any seat. I've been on this one at least 100 times (that's not a lame excuse for a meme, either - it's 100 unless I forgot a trip or two).

Probably not. MrMod was quite homosexual, but I trust in your straight creativity skills.
9  Blue Thrills / General / Re: Introduce yourself. on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:35:28
At least you held up to my request.

10:31:38 PM Blue0ctane: Well, I don't care, just don't make it gay.
10:31:47 PM AlexE1992: fine.
10  Blue Thrills / General / Introduce yourself. on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:29:57
Post about yourself here. I'll start.

My name is Max. I'm 15. I'm 6'0" with green eyes (they change, though) and brown hair. I'm 140 pounds. I was born Jewish but I've been an atheist for over three years. I play lots of sports. I am a total skanker.
11  Blue Thrills / General / Rules on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 21:08:23
I have a mental image of what I would like Blue Thrills to be. Here is a list of rules that I request all users to follow in order to make the site close to my ideal. Take the time to read these if you don't want to be banned (or at the very least insulted).

1. Do not be an idiot. I value intelligence and maturity above all. Do not make obviously stupid or immature decisions during your time here at Blue Thrills. A generic example of what I do not want to see would be as follows:

Quote from: Idiot
Quote from: Blue0ctane
Who is your idol in life?
My idol is Angelina Jolie because she's hot!

You could easily turn that post into a valid one.

Quote from: Reformed Idiot
Quote from: Blue0ctane
Who is your idol in life?
My idol is Angelina Jolie because of the adoption work she does with underprivileged kids.

In short, just use common sense.

2. Type properly. Posting on this forum requires grammar and spelling to be employed. Sure, typos are okay, but you must post like you were writing a paper for school. I don't want to see chatspeak, excluding the obvious entities such as LOL, WTF, ROFL, etc. Please keep the use of emoticons to a bare minimum. Anyone who uses chatspeak or poor grammar/spelling will be banned. I don't need to illustrate an example, but I will since it makes me feel good. Bad example:

Quote from: Idiot

Good example:

Quote from: Reformed Idiot
I love Six Flags Magic Mountain. X is the best coaster I've ever been on.

It's not that hard.

3. We promote free speech. This forum is a bit different than others, seeing as we have no language restraints (feel free to curse as much as you desire) and allow a slight amount of flaming. Racism is allowed if it's not directed in a derogatory way at a specific member (sarcastic or satirical racism is obviously permitted).

On the subject of flaming, do not flame those out of your league. That means respect people who have been around longer than you and know the ropes better than you. Is that perfectly equal? No. Do I care? No. Anyway, this is unacceptable flaming because of the invalid points and whole "insulting the guy who runs the forum" thing:

Quote from: Idiot with 15 posts
blueoctane, shut the fuckup, you **** keke! how do you advertise yourself as a jew when you don't even believe in god? your not cool because your jewish. in fact your not cool at all. you think your so smart and mature. well you know what? **** YOU AND **** YOUR SITE. btw, blueoctane is a retarted username.

This is acceptable in many ways, considering that I can flame whoever the **** I please.

Quote from: Blue0ctane
Idiot with 15 posts, look at yourself. You're insulting me based off of a religion that I was born into and find it slighty unique to advertise myself under because few people are Jewish. You can't type properly, you can't copy my username correctly, you provide no evidence to your statements, and you manage to make yourself look like a retarded twat by calling me out terms of bullshit. By the way, I am indeed smart and mature. Look at how my argument is professionally constructed, while yours resembles a steaming pile of goatshit.

This is fun.

4. Don't post illegal content. This mainly extends to pornographic material. I don't even care if there's naked **** on here, but posting kiddie ****, hentai, cocks, or whatever else is deemed illegal/inappropriate will get you a slam from the ban hammer. I'm alright with disturbing content; just keep it legal for those of us under 18. Bad example:

Quote from: Idiot
Check out this hot Rule 34 of the pigs from Animal Farm getting it on!

Good example:

Quote from: Reformed Idiot
Check out this nasty picture of the way they treat pigs at this farm!

5. If you're offended easily, feel free to leave. This was subliminally suggested on rules 3 and 4, but I felt the need to state it here. Don't **** complain if what somebody says offends you. I am not racist, but I am prone to saying things that are amazingly politically incorrect. Again, I want to post an unneeded series of examples. Bad:

Quote from: Idiot
Quote from: Blue0ctane
**** affirmative action. Why hire a crack-smoking, Ebonics-speaking "nigga" who is far below competent over a hard-working white?
Stop being **** racist, dude. Whites can't say the N-word.

**** affirmative action. Why hire a crack-smoking, Ebonics-speaking "nigga" who is far below competent over a hard-working white?
I disagree, man. They won't find jobs at all if they're hired.

I won't even get pissed over that example, but I couldn't think of anything better. And for the record, if not violating this rule means that you can't post your true thoughts (and you're uncomfortable with this), then simply don't post.

I will add rules when I deem it to be necessary.
12  General Discussion / Calendar / Blue0ctane is in Summer Camp on: Monday, December 31, 2007, 20:17:16
I will be in summer camp with no computer access. Wow.
